Shahryar Shahamat - WOMEN
Shahryar Shahamat was born in 1983 to an art and music loving family in Tehran.
He began painting as a child and as he grew older he became more seriously involved in different painting techniques.
In 2003 he started taking lessons in watercolor techniques from the renowned Iranian painter Behzar Yahaghi.
That year he participated in a group art exhibition in Tehran. Soon after he moved to Armenia to further his studies in architecture. During his stay in Armenia Shahryar participated in yet another drawing group exhibition. Between the years 2004 and 2008, Shahryar worked as stage planner, sound and film editor and assistant director alongside prominent Iranian filmmakers.During that time Shahryar attended several art exhibitions with his installation and video art works. He also gained some experiences in the filed of Street Art and Graffiti. In 2010 Shahryar went to Berlin where he made two video arts. Today Shahryar lives in Brooklyn-New York where he works as a painter – Exhibition in New York : Greenpoint Gallery ( group exhibition ) 2011
